Team SeriousFun alumni have raised crucial funds for SeriousFun Children's Network and our mission:
To create opportunities for children and their families to reach beyond serious illness and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities, always free of charge.
Every $2,500 raised has helped provide a child facing serious illness with a life-changing session at one
of our 30 camps and programs around the world, giving them the chance to simply be a kid.

Team SeriousFun Testimonial
My story starts when I was in grade school, always trying to keep up with my older brother and realizing a competitive spirit was ingrained in my head and in my heart. Fast forward about fifteen years to 2011, when I picked up running and started working with SeriousFun Children’s Network as a part of the Global Partnership Program (GPP). While I was signing up and running my first races in 2012, Team SeriousFun was collecting bibs for its first team events. Quickly falling in love with the organization’s mission and my work, it was only a matter of months before I donned the blue race jersey!
Once I completed my first half marathon and marathon, I felt comfortable enough to give myself an additional challenge by running with Team SeriousFun and fundraising for the global network of camps and camp programs benefitting children living with serious illnesses. My $3,300 fundraising goal for the Rock n’ Roll New Orleans Half Marathon was a bit intimidating at first, as I had never raised a penny in my life. However, with my incredible support network of family and friends and with the help of the Team SeriousFun staff, I surpassed my goal raising $3,755! With the bulk of my training complete and my fundraising goal reached, the serious part was over and it was all fun from there! It was absolutely wonderful to meet and connect with my teammates before and after the race, to enjoy the culture and music of New Orleans, and to represent SeriousFun Children’s Network.
